Fine Textiles ( F) imports textile machinery from a German company (G). G loaded the machinery on the ship named s. s. Karachi and delivered all necessary shipping/import documents to B Bank for payment and thereafter delivery to F. F, after payment, collected the documents from B Bank.

i) Through which main document, F can take delivery of the machinery from the shipping

Question 1.

The Importer F has to submit the Bill of Entry for getting the delivery of goods and upon payment of import duty the importer can take the delivery of goods for cistoms officers.

The importer can sell at any time after the goods are loaded at the port of exporting country but before the goods are taken for home consumption. the importer can sell the goods to third party.

In the given case F can sell the goods to H whil goods are in transit. The movement when the goods sell the goods to third party H the ownership will vwst in the hands of H.
