My plan would imclude the following:-
Composition of PIT
* Identify the team leader
* Include the team members with necessary expertise and relevant role in your organization.
* A member of senior leadership who knows and supports should be included and will be keep informed.
Here in this scenatsc ,the senior management minutes can be used to identify the charges and help of a senior nursing officer is taken to know how the charges to be worded
Team set up
* State the team agenda and mission
Whether the team has necessary resources and training to begin. Conducting a survey among staffs prior itself to get a base line information about their issues on existing. staff schedule
Current state of evidence and knowledge about the staff schedule
* Closely examine your organisation current practice ie, the nursing schedule system
* Identify the challenges and hurdles
Here in this scenario ,identify by units, the number of shifts where staffing was below standard ,standar s and above standard. Review comments about scheduling through nursing personnel satisfaction survey.
Setting Goals and plans for change
* Specific goals for performance and quality improvement you want, which include a standardized nursing schedule system and improved staff satisfaction.
* Outline a written plan for change to meet these goals.This include a new plan of staff schedule based on their which is appropriate to call staffs considering their interest in shift hours ,area of expertise .Plan a staff schedule outline for 2 weeks time onon trial basis.
