A building has a calculated cooling load of 10 tons, of which 2.5 tons is latent load. The space is to be maintained at 72 F db and 50 percent relative humidity. Ten percent by volume of the air supplied to the space is outdoor air at 100 F db and 50 percent relative humidity. The air supplied to the space cannot be less that 55 F db. Assume barometric pressure at sea level, and using the Psychrometric analysis software, find:

(a) The quantity of air supplied to the space in cfm,

(b) The amounts of return air and outdoor air in cfm,

(c) The conditions and volume flow rate of the air entering the cooling coil, point 1.

(d) The capacity and SHF for the cooling coil.

Attach your design report showing the psychrometric analysis of the problem and conditions of state points.

A series circuit has a capacitor of 1.6×10−6 F and an inductor of 2.5 H. If the initial charge on the capacitor is 0.11×10−6C and there is no initial current, find the charge Q on the capacitor at any time t. Enter an exact answer. Do not use thousands separator in the answer field. Enclose arguments of functions in parentheses. For example, sin(2x). Q(t) = ?

A penny, which has a mass 2.5 grams and is made of zinc, is released from rest just beneath the surface of some 80 proof vodka. (80 proof means 40% ethyl alcohol and 60% water, by volume). If the height of the vodka in the bottle is 25cm, how long will it take for the penny to reach the bottom? (Ignore drag and other frictional effects. Assume the only effect of the fluid is buoyancy.)
