An annotated bibliography is alist of citations to books , article and documents v. Each citations is followed by abrief ( usually about 150 words ); descriptive and evaluate paragraphs, the annotations. The purpose of the annotations is to inform the reader of the relevance , accuracy and quality of the source cited.

Annotations are the purely descriptive summaries often found at the beginning of scholarly journal barticles or in periodical indexes. Annotations vare descriptive and critical, they exposed the author's point of view , clarity and appropriateness of expression and authority.
