If technology is so wonderful, why do i need to understand the basics of matrix operations? Why cant i just an app on a smart phone?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Technology helps us in many ways. We can solve different problems regarding matrix using different calculators or any app in our smartphones.

But in mathematics and physics,  there are many uses of matrix and to understand those concepts we need to learn the basic operations of matrices.

The concepts like reducing a matrix into its row echelon form or to find the inverse of a matrix demands the use of basic operations of matrices.

The funny part is that during examinations we have to solve questions based upon matrix in which we have to use the basic operations.

The most important part is self reliance. Technology makes our work easy but we do also have a responsiblity to increase our domain of knowledge and that domain depends upon our knowledge about the basics.

That's why we should know about the basics of matrix operations so that we can solve problems and understand different higher concepts regarding matrices and we don't have to rely upon the technology everytime.

I need a short and clear opinion so I can understand the question and make my own opinion Writing in the 19th century, the British economist Thomas Malthus argued that the law of diminishing marginal returns implied eventual misery for humanity because, in the case of agriculture, there is a fixed amount of available land and additional labor would only yield ever smaller increases in food production. The inevitable result, as Malthus saw it, was that population growth would eventually...
