please explain this statement "Right-to-work destroys moral within a union and moral is important for the effectiveness of the union and job. In addition, it creates an internal separation among employees". ( labor unions)(200 word count)
Before heading into the statement, it is necessary to know what the statement actually tells you. The right-to-work laws get to ensure you that no person can actually be compelled into work as a result of employment. This can impose huge crime penalties to the employer etc. The law also tells us that no worker is to be forced to join any labor unions where it entirely depends on the wish of the worker. However, it is actually argued that there can be lot of chances for such rules to engage the barriers among the workers into play where there can be internal seperation between the workers. This is because at times, certain personal disputes can lead to the formation of new unions and at such cases, the workers divide into various parts which is not beneficial to the overall production unit. As a result, the effectiveness of production disturbs the company and the unity among the labor union also reduces which can result in further complications as well. Thus, it is not good to always misuse the law that is provided by the judicial authorities and proceed in a way that can lead to further complications and it would always be beneficial if single worker union is present in a firm on the whole.
