In 75 words describe the Wire Frame and Platonic Solids The main idea with this question is to use the power of the internet to bring some of these geometry lessons to life. Please Type
1 for each of the 5 shapes, can you tell us what the inscribed solid is?
WireFrame:
Website wireframe is also called as Blueprint of a screen. It is a method of designing a website service at structural level. It acts as a visual guide to represent the skeletal framework of a website layout.
The wireframe comes into picture at very beginning stage of project lifecycle process. The wireframe are mainly designed for arranging the webpage contents, interface end users are using. Wireframe design mainly concerns about functionality, information priority, kind of information that is displayed. It mainly consists information, navigation, interface.
Platonic Solids:
In general, in 2D geometry most symmetric polygons are regular polygons. Similarly, in 3D a platonic solid is regular and convex polyhedron which is constructed by congruent regular polygon faces with same number of faces meeting at some vertex. Platonic solids are,
• Tetrahedron - 4Equilateral triangle faces - 4Vertices
• Cube - 6Square faces - 8Vertices
• Octahedron - 8Equilateral triangle faces - 6Vertices
• Dodecahedron - 12Regular Pentagon faces - 20Vertices
• Icosahedron - 20Equilateral triangle faces - 12Vertices
Solids that can be inscribed in following solids are,
• Tetrahedron - Tetrahedron
• Cube - Octahedron
• Octahedron - Cube
• Dodecahedron - Icosahedron
• Icosahedron - Dodecahedron
