Thiazid diuretics

chlorothiazide, hydrochlorothiazide

Block sodium reabsorption in ascending tubule of the kidney, water excreted with sodium, producing decreased blood volume

congestive hart failure , pulmonary edema, left ventricular failure,

hypertension

Nephrogenic diabetes insipidus

reduce preload

reduce fluid volume and excretion of sodium will reduce blood pressure.

to create mild hypovolemia. which encourage  sodium and water reuptake in the proximal tubule.

Loop diuretics

Frusemide, ethacrynic acid

inhibit reabsorption of sodium and chloride at the proximal point of ascending loop of Henle

congestive heart failure , pulmonary edema, left ventricular failure,

acute renal failure, Ascitis, fluid overrload due to overhydration, nephrotic syndrome

hypercalcemia, hyperkalemia, anion overdose

reduce ventricular preload

enhance urine output and potassium secretion in ARF

nephrotic syndrome- increase urine output

enhance sodium, water and potassium excretion through urine.

calcium excretion

potassium sparing diuretics

Spirinolactone/ Aldactone

sodium excreted in exchange for potassium. potassium retained. hyperaldosteronism, heart failure with risk to hypokalemia, hepatic chirrosis, nephrotic syndrome water and sodium excreted through urine and reduce risk of hypokalemia.

This question puts together all that we have learned so far. Imagine that you have just been hired as an economist by the government, and you have been asked to “create” a model that combines the goods and market service with the Asset market. We are interested in determining the relationship between output and the exchange rate. This relationship should be represented in the space with output in the horizontal axis and the exchange rate on the vertical axis, i.e....

Suppose we have two galaxies that are sufficiently far apart so that the distance between them increases due to Hubble's expansion. If I were to connect these two galaxies with a rope, would there be tension in the rope? Would the tension increase with time? Is the origin of the tension some sort of drag between the expanding space and matter?

Competitive strategy as we have understood it so far, has followed a two step process; the first step was creating value defined as the difference between the customer's willingness to pay (based on their desires) and the cost of supplying the good (based on the firm's value chain choices), and the second step of splitting this "value" created between the customer (appropriated as consumer surplus) and supplier firm (appropriated as profits).
