Clinical Information System is an  application which provides to store, accessing,manipulating data of patients clinical reports, medical history etc.. It stores the patients medical records and allows access of the data. This clinical Information Systems helps in facilitating direct patient care. This Clinical Information System helps in predicting type of disease based on the information stored.

In this Clinical Information System application, Workflow Management System is used to automate the processes like storing, retrieving, monitoring etc.. Workflow Management System is a system which keeps the processes in sequential order that to be complete. It is used to keep the track of processes in order to be run. It is used in Clinical Information System application that keep the tasks in sequential order which to be done by both machine and users.

This workflow management system notifies the user or a machine to do a specific task when there is need and it also keep the next task inorder to do. It will automatically run the tasks whenever it is needed that means work flows in order automatically. This is specifically used to retrieve the medical records, store the information, analyze and prediction to give new information. By this, a new system Electronic Health records is a system is developed under Clinical Information System application which maintains the activities involved in processing of clinical information.
