Women for a long time been kept a subordinate, sexual pleasure centers, child bearing machines and household maids for many thousands of years. It continued till the mid 20th century until women won their rights to education, employment, housing, healthcare etc. This would mean that they were considered physically weak. Entertainment industry used women by exposing them in terms of projecting them as sensual beings who could be there in the advertisements, movies etc. just to fulfil the sexual desires of men, do the household works a regular woman would do and kindle the sensuous emotions of men that would attract men towards viewing the content or purchase the products that they advertise. Thus, it’s true that the entertainment industry degrades women by using them only for the sake of increasing their viewership and sell most of the products. Society in return do the same for other women because most of the attitudes and behaviours are picked from the media.
