So, 50 mL of the solution contains (50 * 100,000) units of heparin = 50,00,000 units of heparin

Therefore, we need to dissolve (50,00,000/100) micrograms of heparin powder

= 50,000 micrograms

= 50 milligrams of heparin powder in 50 mL of water to get a concentration of 100,000 Units/mL to be used as an anticoagulant.
