Mental health is a larger concept which not only includes the psychological state of mind but also encompasses the emotional and social state of an individual and the well-being together. Mental health is an important component of coping with problems and maintaining the internal state of harmony which can help in living stress free and calmly facing all difficulties faced.
WHO DO YOU THINK MENTAL HEALTH AFFECTS?
Mental health is a part of overall "health" concept and can occur to anyone and everyone possible under the given circumstances which disturb the emotional, social and psychological components of the mind. According to the National alliance of mental health, almost 1 in 5 individuals in US population is affected by mental health issues. However the range of mental health problems varies from anxiety, depression to sever mental health problems such as bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
HOW DO YOU THINK THE CORONA VIRUS HAS AFFECTED MENTAL
HEALTH?
Corona virus has had a major impact on mental health as the due to two major reasons. First reason is the corona induced lock-down, the lock-down has confined individual in closed spaces of homes which has restricted and confined individuals affecting mental health in terms of isolation, fear, anxiety, etc. The second major reason is loss of employment and income, this has led to people being mentally devastated by uncertainty ahead, economic downturn, depression, substance abuse, disturbance n emotional and social harmony which has had a major impact on metal health. So, Corona virus has not only affected the physical health but has had a major impact on the mental health of the people who are affected or infected by the virus and also the people who are not infected but is associated by the impacts of the virus outbreak around the world
