Answer) I will divide my answer in following 3 parts
- A government which represents the population demographically
does give a chance to every section of society to get their voices
heard, here we have to take into account that if government has
representatives from a section, this section will be more willing to
let their problems known to this representative from their section
for the simple reason that this representative will be mindful of
section and its problems, another aspect will be electoral aspect,if
a leader from particular demography is not listening to problems of
its demography, the same demography will not be voting this leader
come next elections,so this gives demography extra leverage,so yes
a government having employees from all demographic sections does
lead to a shot for all voices getting heard.
- People who look like me is not a barometer for faith in my
opinion, ultimately if a government is delivering on its promises
and is willing to listen to its citizens then only it gets
respect, trust and faith, please note unlike the first case there is
no electoral fear in this case, just because someone looks like me
will not solve my problems,so in this case someone looking like me
is not my barometer for faith.
- Yes,it is entirely possible for a government official coming
from different background to advocate on my behalf as tallest
leaders generally are all inclusive,if a leader is willing to look
at problems & solutions, ideas, rather than where it is coming
from,s/he will always advocate on behalf of people irrespective of
their background.
