In 300 words clearly state what the ethical course of action would be based on the information from this case study. Support that stance by using at least 3 different ethical concepts and or principles. You can only use a concept or principle once. Remember to use objectively (no personal opinions) and impartiality ( each person's needs and interests are given equal weight) when making and supporting your stance. Case study: Dr. Yee is a cardiologist. A 75-year-old patient in need of heart surgery has recently been referred to his practice. The patient is overweight and has known he was at risk for heart disease for years. Still, he never modified his diet or exercise despite his doctor’s recommendations. His poor health makes the surgery riskier and less likely to extend his life for long. Regardless, the patient would like Dr. Yee to perform the surgery. Dr. Yee needs to decide if he will operate or refuse the surgery to this patient. What should Dr. Yee do and why?

Dr. Will say yes if patient and relatives willing for heart sugery after the proper explanation and clarfications.Heart surgery is high risk in age 75year or above aged people. Successfull outcomes can be expected in this patients with selective critetia identifying risk factors. Need high risk consent from patient and relatives. Patient have to be co operated before and after completion of surgery for better outcomes and short hospital stay. Explanation regarding the need of surgery, benefits and its high risk. Already patient have comorbidites age is 75year old, over weight, poor diet controll. So need patient full co-operation.Prople who are obese msy increase the risk for heart disease include high blood pressure, high cholesterol and high blood sugar.There is a chance of complications in heart surgery like bleeding, stroke,cardiac arrest, heart attack, kidney problems, stroke, memory loss, delay in wound healing procees may lead to infections of the chest wound etc. or he/she may need mechanicsl ventilator, IABP or ECMO support. Off pump is safe than on pump unlikely different to everyone.

Dr. Yee is a cardiologist will discuss to cardiothorasic surgen regarding this patient details and wilingness for the heart sugery. Survivsl rate of patients who make it through the first month and after operation need highly attention in regular self care activities, diet, daily weight checking, follow up and regualr treatment strictly by consultant orders
