Here i would like to discuss further on Humanistic
Q2. Role of adult learner in humanistic
The learner is highly motivated and self-directed, assumes responsibility for learning and self development
As an adult learner when it comes to learning he/she should take initiative in every method of learning and should also help others build the concepts right. When it comes to applicable philosophy that is ethics, social and political philosophy, and aesthetics the individual should do what can be accepted by the majority but most importantly that can be accepted by him for the rest of his life that he has made the right decision.
Q3. Role of adult educator
The adult educator also referred to as the teacher in Humanistic is the facilitator, helper ,partner, promotes but does not direct learning, sets mood for learning, acts as flexible resource for learners.
The practise of the adult educator is surely compatible with the application philosophy as it helps the learner to make the right decisions or consult them in cases of pronlems that they phase. As you know the pros and cons are two sides of the same coin, when it comes to this particular question, according to me the pros out balance the cons. But more importantly the quality of the adult educator is a very important factor here.
Q4. The educational contents or concepts in Humanistic includes experimental learning, freedom, feelings, individuality, self-directedness, interactive, openness, cooperation, authenticity, ambiguity, related to existenalism, which in my point of view are the ideal factors that shape an individual. So i promptly agree to the idea of Humanistic.
Q5. The education methodologies are
1. Experimental group tasks
2. Group discussions
3. Team teaching
4. Self-directed learning
5. Discovery
Experimental group tasks helps in sharing the idea in a group which will be open to discussion and contributions from all the members of the group makes it even more resourceful, and is similar when it comes to grouop discussions. Team teaching is ideal as combination of knowledge is always a great way to convey a message. To be capable of making decisions that are right ones is always emphasised here and a matter of facts points to discovery and self directed learning. As we already know, the most important lessons come from experience and our own findings for which discovery is very important
