What is most "uncertain" about your industry? (Education/Community College)
What advice would you give your current employer regarding pricing decisions based on this uncertainty?
The uncertainty in education industry is mostly on the success of a method that is been adopted by the education system. so the recent trend in education is the ICT based TLP. so every educational institute tries to implement this method according to their requirement and suitability of the implementation. Now, this process will increase the workload of a teacher where the students will be more informative as well as equiped with e-resources. so here the implementation and the outcome is most uncertain as the industry is adopting more online-based teaching with innovative methods, it will look forward to the result or the student respond through their performance.
Here the employer has to be a little tricky in terms of pricing. When we are looking for an innovative and dedicated teacher then the pricing should be according to their capability. the involvement and the effectiveness of an employee depend on the assessment skill of the employer. Now there should be a modification in the assessment process or we can take it as multi-layered process which determines the effectiveness of an employee. so there should be criteria for each point to be justified so that successful achievement/fulfillment of that criteria will determine the price/salary of a teacher. So the employer should take care of the employees according to their contribution and also take care about the modernization of teaching equpments and assesories.
