QUESTIONS A 71-year-old ex-construction worker is admitted to a long-term care facility in his hometown. His wife and children are no longer able to provide him care at home since he suffered a brain attack (stroke). He has residual left-sided weakness and dementia. He is unable to walk unassisted and gets confused at times.

Maslow's hierarchy1. Physiological needs: like food , shelter will be provided in the nurse caring facility
2 safety measures : his bed should be provided with side railing as he is having weakness if he is going to fall he can't resist himself
Private are for him to spend his time
3 .love and belongings: he should be given a chance for talking with his family as well as permission for his friends to visit him
4 Esteem: as he is an ex-construction worker he will be wanting to work for example he can be allowed to work in the care facility like filling a small crack in the floor or plastering.
5.Self actualization: encourage them to do there requirements alone with in our eye sight.
Basic needs which needs priority
1 he is having hemiplegia, he needs assistance for walking,
He needs to be prevented from occurence of pressure sore
He is having dementia: he has confusion so need to give care like giving proper medication, regularly blood check up
