Project management includes precise and effective communication and coordination with all the stakeholders in order to get the planned outcome. Stakeholders are any individuals or entities which have vested interest in the function and outcomes of the project. The relationship with the stakeholders in project management is by understanding the objective and responsibilities ok context of the project output and planning in accordance with the approval and feasibility of all parties. The essential elements to form strong ties and relationships with the stakeholders are understanding that multiple stakeholders have multiple and diverse requirements of the project and also have different definition of the outcome or success of the project.
So in this case, the state of the relationship essentially determines the success or failure of the project at hand and the value & expectations met are elements on which stakeholders evaluation the project. Therefore, the relationship with stakeholders is based on the efficacy of meeting the requirements as per the expectations expressed. The role of project manager is critical as the timely update on progress of the project and effective interactive and query resolution becomes the key balancing act to move the project to its final outcome. So, stakeholder relationship in project management is based on expected target meeting and effective coordination to achieve the outcome.
