How is CRT technology different from LCD technology ? Which one is better and why?

CRT - CRT works like a TV which has a CRT, made up of glass having electrons gun fixed at the back.   The  gun fires electrons at the group of phosphorus dots present on the screen  which glous to give  the desired  color to form an image. 

LCD - It is a material called liquid crystal, is sandwiched between the two polarisable sheets.  When the electric current pass through  the crystals , they block the  light  to create  pixels.  In each pixels of LCD, there is a device  called TFT which sets the charges to make  them work. 

LCD technology is better  because they are lighter and give better resolution  than CRT technology.
