Mycobacteria Tuberculosis is a microorganism which causes TB. Tuberculosis is an infectious disease which spread when an infected patient sneeze or cough in the form of aerisols.

It can be easily transmitted to the immuno compromised individuals. If a person inhales the aerosols from the infected persons he will start exhibiting the symptoms of TB. People who are residing with the pateints are more prone to the occurrence of infection.

Elderly people who are working in the poluted areas are mostly become immuno compromised which is the main cause for the highest infection rate among the elders.

To control TB - Health agency, WHO has implemented DOTS (Directly Observed Treatment Shots) program. This was implemented all over the world to closely monitor all the pateints by regular checkups and suppling of medical drugs for 6 to 9 months continuously.
