4.Blood transfusions form a crucial and irreplaceable part in the medical management of may diseases.The collection of blood from voluntary,non remunerated blood donors from low risk population is an important measure for ensuring the availability and safety of blood transfusion.In a state like Uttarakhand which is visited by lakhs of visitors during pilgrimage season and where natural calamities and accidents are very common,the availability of blood is of utmost importance.

conclusion:

This study illustrates how increasing awareness and marketing voluntary blood donation can enhance adequacy of blood needs of a state or for that matter the entire country.This study also underlines how different media especially electronic media,can be used to propagate altruistic blood donation.

1. The strengths of this study is creating awareness on blood donation and giving knowledge on essential element in human body i.e blood and blood components and how they play important role in improving healthcare.
2. weaknesses of the study is that the study limited to only certain extent.It would be nice to mention the role of blood banks and establishing more of blood banks in the region.
3. I belong from a medical background, so this research helped me in my medical field to encamp such blood donation camps and create awareness on blood donations.
4. society should be aware of blood donations and should be responsible for the improvement of better world and its all a matter of humanity.
