Artistic freedom can be defined as "the freedom to imagine, create and distribute diverse cultural expressions free of governmental censorship, political interference or the pressures of non-state actors."

I strongly disagree with this statement. When an artist draws, he puts his soul and creativity in it. It's not just a mere painting or sketch. Its a piece of their mind. Taking this into consideration, we must respect anything they create. We live in a society where people get offended by everything they see. There's little empathy in this present world. This is the main reason why artists feel hesitant sometimes to express their art, which is very sad altogether. Artists should be given a spotlight for their thought and talent rather than just appreciation behind the curtains for their work. Art can put out strong and important messages , which cannot be expressed in any other way . So we need to give them a pedastel , where they are appreciated for it .
