antibiotic-induced diarrhea?
- There are stages that to be noted for prescribing antibiotics
given with drugs, In case of having mild antibiotic-induced
diarrhea, the doctor may recommed for an Anti-Diarrheal Medications
such as LOPERAMIDE [Imodium A-D]. And in case of
severe diarrhea like C.difficile infections, it is strictly said to
stop taking antibiotic and might suggest to take antibiotics
specifically targeted to kill these bacteria causing
antibiotic-associated diarrhea, namely an Oral Antimicrobial Drug
called VANCOMYCIN or FIDAXOMICIN. Even these drugs

therapy.
- Red Man Syndrome is a response of Hypersensitive Reaction to the
Antibiotic VANCOMYCIN. If red man syndrome appears
then these Vancomycin infusion is discontinued immediately. A dose
of 50mg Diphenhydramine hydrochlorise intravenously or orally can
abort most of these reactions. Once the Rash and Itching dissipate,
the infusion can be resumed to a lesser dosage. So, Red Man
Syndrome is possible and complicated at first dose but it is
curable according to change in Histamine levels
and given therapy.
4) To help prevent intestinal superinfection during antibiotic
therapy, the nurse should teach Mr.Bugs to eat which foods?
- Antibiotics are taken mostly to fight against bacterial
infections in the body. Nurse may instruct Mr.Bugs to have
Probiotics which is the major one that help in restoring the
balance of Gut Bacteria. Hydrated kind of food is much better to
