2) LDL uptake in cells is mediated by receptors.

Ans- True , LDL uptake in cells is mediated through receptor mediated endocytosis.The receptor is present on plasma membrane that internalized LDL ( Low density lipoprotein) and then delivered to lysosome where degradation process took place and cholesterol is released.

3) Both even and odd carbon chain fatty acids are catabolized by beta oxidation.

Ans- True , but final products formed in these 2 cases are different. Even carbon chain fatty acids produce acetyl CoA but odd carbon chain fatty acids produce acetyl CoA and Propionyl CoA.
