The evolution vs. creationism debate consists of an ongoing, cultural, political, and theological dispute about the origins of the Earth--of humanity, and of other lorganisms. Organisms were believed to be fixed products of divine creation in accordance with creationism. In Europe and elsewhere, creationism is less widespread, and there is much less pressure to teach it as fact. According to biologist Theodosius Dobzhansky, nothing in biology makes sense except in the light of evolution. However, according to Creationism,  everything in nature arose from the movement of chloride ions in response to the binding of a ligand, to its bizarre life-forms that were found in the Burgess Shale more than 500 million years ago. Many biologists were tried to taught the theory of evolution with more or less biblical interpretations of the origins of life on Earth. They worried if engage the proponents of creationism and intelligent design in direct debate, giving further credence to anti-evolutionary arguments by inferring that the ideas are worthy of discussion. At the end they will fail the debate, and creationist counter their arguments.

Since childhood we have been taught that the earth is about 4.5 billion years old, and all life arose from primitive, single-celled organisms, according to Charles Darwin. So,I would go with evolution theory rather than creationism. But creationist rejected this evidence, and claimed that the Bible's Book of Genesis is a historical account of creation.  Creationism is literally based on a Bible's Book of Genesis, which describes the creation of the world and all the life in it over a period of six days. Battle in the creationism versus evolution war became famous and in 1925 a school teacher, John Scopes tried to teach evolution in a classroom by prohibiting the law. Later he was found guilty and fined $100. The fossil record and other evidence poved that organisms have evolved through time. This indirect evidence is clear, unambiguous and compelling.

The question arise who won the debate?, Britain's Christian website said it was Nye, with 42,567 responses, the site's online poll finds Nye with 92 percent support, compared with 8 percent for Ham.

Science had proved that methodological naturalism can push back ignorance. It found out detailed and informative answers to mysteries that were seemed impenetrable--eg.the nature of light, the causes of disease, how the brain works. Evolution also doing the same with the riddle of how the living world took place. On the otherhand, Creationism adds nothing of intellectual value to the effort.
