Do you think organizations differ from each other when placing importance on areas of the SWOT analysis? Describe a real-world example of an organization that would place more importance on one area of the SWOT analysis compared to another area.

Yes,organizations do differ from each other when placing importance on areas of the SWOT analysis. SWOT refers to strengths, weakness, opportunities, threats where Strength gives an edge to the organization over it's competitors. Weakness are the factors that can be proven harmful for the organization if used against the organization. Opportunities are the favourable situation that can give a competitive advantage. Threats are unfavorable situations that can negatively impact the organization. Strengths and weaknesses are internal part of organization and opportunities and threats are external part of organization and organization can only react to it and have no control over it.

All the companies don't emphasize equally on all the elements of SWOT. Some of the companies pay more attention to strengths and less to weakness and vice versa and maybe more to opportunities and less on threats and vice versa

Example: Apple Inc Co. is having strength of it's new, smart features and stylish looking iphones and iPad. The features and the quality which the company gives to it's customers is top class and the quality checks it goes through proves it's strength. People are fond of buying iphone due to it's paying more attention towards it's strengths and on the other side if we see the price of iphone compared to other phones is so high and company don't bothers about it. They emphasize more on the strength which is why they make their quality and features better and better with the next version of it. They don't think of weakness of high prices because their strengths overpower it. Even of it's high price people tend to buy it. So the company don't emphasize on reducing price and emphasize only on providing a better product everytime. Also they don't emphasize on the threats that much that the new brand is coming in the market with good features and quality because they have designed their product the way that there strength of best quality will owerpower any other product in the market. That's how a company gives more importance to one of the elements of SWOT then other.
