How the National insurance Act that was passed in England and coined the term"health insurance" in 1911. Has been revolutionary for the health care system.

Insurance refers to a contract in which a person taking insurance is promised to be paid a sum assured on happening of any uncertainty. In return, an insured person has to pay a premium to the insurance company, which can be paid annually or half-yearly or quarterly or monthly.
Step 2
The National Insurance Act was introduced in 1911, creating national insurance as a system of health insurance for workers (industrial) in Great Britain. It was based on the contribution from the government, the employers and the workers themselves. This act provided the scheme of National Insurance with medical benefit provision.
Step 3
But benefits under this act were lost on twenty-six week’s absence from work. Also, there were no provisions for the worker’s family. It was also found that the contribution worsened poverty in actual terms as the workers were getting paid less.
