The features that differentiate
someone with a disorder versus someone without are;
- Worrying or being anxious is normal
in difficult situations, and is helpful to plan and face such
situations. But, when this worrying and being anxious is excessive,
when it interferes with normal life, makes the sufferer unable to
function to their best ability, and is accompanied with physical
symptoms as excessive fatigue, muscle tension, increased heart
beat, disturbed sleep pattern and difficulty in concentrating is
not normal
- Being excessively threatened or
scared over matters that are actually not dangerous, or when there
is no threat at all.
- Being anxious and impulsive all the
time.
- Behaving compulsively to get rid of
obsessive thoughts.
- Avoiding social situations because
it causes excessive anxiety and panic to face such situations.
