Contact transmission
Contact transmission is one of the major forms of transmission for many viruses and diseases. It is of two types
1.Direct contact transmission-means when a healthy person directly get in physical contact with the infected person and the disease is transmitted.
2.Indirect contact transmission-means disease causing organism is trasmitted on to any other things or surfaces and later transmitted to any other person who comes in contact or touches the surface.
Common cold ,Pertusis(whooping cough),COVID,Strep throat,Influeza,Measles,Varicella,Staphylo coccus Aureus ,all of these diseases spread through both direct contact (like by saliva, skin to skin contact) and indirect contact (touching the contaminated surfaces).
Tuberculosis transmitted by direct contact transmission through saliva(kissing and sharing drinks).
Herpes simplex virus is transmitted by direct contact transmission (sexually transmitted) from the infected person.
C.Difficile(Clostridium Difficile) is transmitted indirect contact transmission through spores on any contaminated surface.
