Ischemic strokes are more common type of stroke caused by blockage of artery.Intravenous TPA (tissue plasminogen activator) drug are used for treatment of strokes which reverse the stroke if given to the patient carefully within the few hours of stroke onset.TPA work by dissolving work by dissolving major clot quickly which helps restart the blood flow to the heart and helps prevent damage to the heart muscles.TPA can stop a heart attack that would be larger or potentially deadly.The drug restores some blood flow to the heart in most people.However the blood flow may not be normal and there may still be a muscle damaged.
