Prompt: Based on the video describe two things that stood out to you about women during the 1930's. Does it seem that during the 1930's women have more rights that before or are there still constraints? Notice that you can use Dorothea, her mother, her friend, or the women she photographs - you do not and should not only speak on Dorothea.
two paragraphs.
The role of women during 1930's is comprehensive, They have experienced significant independence in choosing ther own education and career, However they were not given high standards / high paying jobs .They were forced to live a subservient role in the society mostly paid low wages ands were not treated equally . Women often felt insecured to travel alone and always required male to accompany her.She hold the responsibility of raising children , cleaning house and expected to be house wife after work.In summary Women during 1930's given rights significantly than before but also had survived living with lots of constraints and still not given equal role as man.
1) Life of Dorothea Lange is incredible, thinking about what she has to go through in her life. Two things I learnt from her is Passion in her work and consistency. No matter of the obstacles she faced in her journey like wall sreet crisis in1929, her own illness, dislike from her mother and critisism from society but still she still managed to survive in her journey of photographer. That to me is a great lesson of consistency and passion for work.
2) In the documentary, It is clear that , one must have mission and vision in their life and has to work tirelessly to achieve it , The life of Dorothea Lange is an exemplary for whovever having the same fire burining in them, The result of her hard work is her contribution to the photography , her iconic work "Migrant Mother".It is amazing to know how she spent even last moment of her life spending in photography. Her contribution to the world of photography is priceless I truly admire her .
