follow a sperm cell from the beginning of spermatogenesis until it fertilizes an egg. What processes occur and where? What cell types are involved? What additional secretions?
Spermatogenesis -
- it is a process by which sperms get produced in male body. It took place in seminiferous tubules.
- At initial stage sperms are spermatogonium stem cell. Then they further get differentiated into primary spermatocytes via mitosis.
- after that primary spermatocytes gets differentiated into secondary spermatocytes via meiosis I.
- then meiosis II occurs which convert secondary spermatocytes into spermatids.
- spermatids get evolved and developed into spermatozoa or mature sperms via process called spermiogenesis.
