In elderly peoples elimination problems is common in both male and females. These problems can cause by many reasons.bowel elimination and urinary problems are most common.dehydration is another problems in elderly .This can be a after effect of eliminational problems.

All these problems like loss of control can happens because of short term illness .but in other times it can also by long term illness or even with general aging.age related decline may cause changes in or damage of muscles and nerves in the bowel or bladder.In womens vaginal child birth can Aldo be a reason for damage of muscles and nerves.

Bowel incontinence may also happen with other bowel problems such as...

  • Diarrhoea
  • Constipation
  • Bloating or gas.

Urinary incontinence is a common problem in elderly. This also is caused by aging and problems with muscle and nerves. Some of the other diseases also cause urinary incontinence such as. Multiple sclerosis, diabetes, Parkinson's disease,enlarged prostate in mens,arthritis ,patients with mobility problems. The more commonly presenting forms of incontinence are acute ,chronic,urge,overflow, and stress incontinence.

These problems can lead the elderly people to more stress. They may have chance disappear from the society.most of their daily activities get affected. They may not want to eat or drink, they may avoid taking other medicine like diuretics .They can leads this problems yo depression also.

Dehydration is a another common problem in elderly people. Age related changes in total body water,thirst perception, renal concentrating ability,and vasopressin effectiveness probably predispose to dehydration .

Dehydration can adversely affects in mental performances and increase feeling of tiredness.most common problem because of Dehydration is low blood pressure, weakness, dizziness, and increased risk of falls.so hydration is very important one in elderly to prevent these problems.

Make sure that our senior ones are hydrated .help them yo fulfill their all needs to make them more strengthen. Encourage them to more socially active according to their ability to prevent them from a depression or other issues.
