The most important aspects of security administration include:
-controlling access
-documentation, procedure, and guidelines
-disaster assessment and recovery
-security outsourcing, concerns, and types of common agreements
What does the security administration do under each of those aspects? Please give examples.
As the security administration plays a vital role in managing the security of the organization hence it uses a role-based security model where the privilege, as well as permission given to the user, is with regards to the roles assigned to the user. The security administrator provides the security depending on security entities, user, their roles, privilege, URI, etc
The security administrator also manages the access with the help of access control administration which is considered as the collection of the task and activities are given to the administrator for managing the user accounts, their access as well as accountability. Any security of the system is dependent on the security administrator. They are responsible for regulating as to who can view or modify or use the resources in the computing environment.
They also play a role in addressing the security issue over a document for future reference which will ensure that all the information is mentioned in the document which can help maintain the security and also adhere to the rules and guidelines.
Also for disaster recovery and business continuity, they play an important role in making the security planning and protecting the organization from any negative events.
They also are needed for providing some standard set of guideline and rules which can help them understand the aspects of the system and their security.
Example: Writing the testing done for security in the document, providing the end-user only the access to read the policy, the network traffic has been monitored by the security admin.
