Mexican-American farmemployer, labor figurehead and civil rights
reformer César Chávez conducted better situations for agricultural
labours.Born on his family’s farm close by Yuma, Arizona, Chávez
observed the brutal situations farm laborers encounterd. Regulary
oppressed by their masters, they were frequently unpaid, living in
tremble in exchange for their labor, with no medical or other basic
provisions. They had no resources to boost their position. Chávez
altered that when he committed his life to successful recognition
for the rights of agricultural labours, motivating and arrengeing
them into the National Farm Workers Association, which afterwards
became the United Farm Workers.
The UFW carry on arranging the movements in primary agricultural
sections mainly in California.
Cesar made people conscious of the conflicts farm labours for
better pay and safer working situations . He prevailed through
nonviolent strategies like boycotts, pickets, and strikes. Cesar
Chavez and the union pursued recognition of the importance and
respect of all farm labours.
American Indian movement's purposes eventually
surrounded the entire range of Indian demands like economic
independence, recovery of traditional culture, protection of legal
rights, and, most especially, liberty over tribal areas and the
restoration of lands that they believed had been illegally
grabed.
