Answer: Immunization is a process through which the capability of the immune system is enhanced so as to make it strong enough to fight with the germs and diseases. People and specially children gets immunization to increase there immunity which prevents from many communicable as well as non communicable diseases.
The immunization information system is a platform which saves the data confidentially about all the records of the population who are immunized or get the dose of immunization. The records can be about the particular population present in the geographical area etc.
The data and all the records are kept confidential but can be used by the authorities whenever needed. The maintenance of the record in made systematically. The immunization information system records and monitor the rate or the percentage of the population that has been immunized or that have been not. This data is used to improve the immunization rate as immunization decreases the rate of risk of diseases.
Their main goals are to increase the rate of Immunization as well as provide better service to the population. They also ensure that the there should be constant decrease in the vaccination error and they implement methods to decrease these errors. Encourage patients and provide education regarding benefits of the immunization hence to increase the rate of immunization. This will automatically decrease the rate of illness and diseases.
