1. why is important to know the similarities and differences between Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece.
2. why is important in today's day to do a research paper proposal on ancient Egypt and ancient Greece?
Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece have historical significance and bilateral relations between the two regions. The strong historical and cultural ties between the two nations are experienced to date; they also serve similar international organizations like the UN, the IMF, and the Mediterranean. The two countries are approximately 1,500 miles apart; despite the distance between them, they both had ways to influence geographically. Greece's geographical appearance, which is hilly and mountainous, helped the Greeks develop power and strength (Sassi & Maria, 2001). Therefore, they developed war tactics and were able to get to war and protect their society from the aggressors. Similarly, the Egyptians held geographical respect to the river Nile which predominantly shaped their landscape.
The political aspect among the Egyptians embraced central authority while the Greeks adopted the decentralized political system in which powers were distributed to the states and the cities. The Egyptians had strong religious beliefs in life after death and therefore constructed the pyramids to help the dead find a better life after death. At the same time, the Greeks lacked such beliefs hence different social structures. However, the two civilizations had similar social stratification in terms of the class system; there were the landowners and the peasants and slaves. The two civilizations lasted for an extended time, justifying their roots and values. They also enhanced advancement in scientific studies like mathematics and astronomy and essentially exhibited conservatism. It is vital to research the civilizations via proposals since they are historically significant, and much remains to be discovered for the benefit of modern scholars.
