compare the insulin-IGFR pathway with epinephrine-GPCR in glucose metabolism

Solutions

Expert Solution

Insulin-IGFR: The Insulin GF receptor specifically concentrate on the m-TOR,MAPK pathway which are related to the cell growth, proliferation, and in cell survival mechanism. So the IGFR is essential for the function related to cell growth, and its survival.

Epinephrine-GPCR: The Eepinephrin hormone and the GPC Receptor function is related with the break down of the glycogen stored in the muscle, when the epinephrin hormone released due to flight or fight reactiion the muscle needs the glucose to break down to produce energy for the muscle to perform the function.
