What is the difference between control limits and specification limits?

Control limits::
Are the actual variation in how the process performs. It is the limits that are calculated from the operations of the process.

Specification limits::
Are the limits set by the customer or the client for a process, which means it is the result that is intended out of the whole process.
* These are called the target for the process by customers are in any where like thst market performance and internal target
* In short it is intended result on the metric is measured
