Substance abuse is a major problem in societies the world over. The government tries its best to provide adequate resources through public awareness programs and amenities but these often fall short. Governments alone cannot do everything and needs society and private organizations to contribute to its efforts.
Major companies too face such problems in its work force and therefore need to allocate more resources for alleviating this ill from society. Companies can not only have in-house correction centers for its employees but can also fund public facilities from their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds. They can fund health centers, library and talk centers and rehabilitation centers facilitating course correction from substance abuse. The companies will not only be doing their bit for the society at large but would also be investing for its work force who are after all a part of the society itself.
