Answer. Chemical dependency is the condition in which the nurse is under the influence of drugs or alcohol while at working place.

Codependency maladaptive means a behaviour in which the nurses tend to adapt to the fellow or any other person to feel the same pain and think accordingly to make that person satisfied.

Both of these behaviours are harmful for nurses or for any normal person. These behaviours trap the person emotionally and physically leading to the mental disturbances. The person stops thinking on its own and is always seeking the other person or the drug to take over his/her mind.

Such things create a big problem in their lives either personal or professional.

Nurses when found in any of these state, they are treated as a threat to the patient they are treating and also to theor their own lives. Besides this, they are held responsible for ruining the reputation of their profession and their organisation.

To get a stress free life, the nurses should be following a proper regime to stay physically and mentally fit. They need to be organised in their daily routines with a start of exercise and good walk in fresh air. Having proper nourished diet in whole day will aslo help them in keeping their minds cool and concentrated. Keeping a positive attitude towards life and work will bring more joy and cheer to the life and thus to mind. To be expressive and easy to talk to, is a kind of person that nurses must try to become. And also taking breaks from heavy work pressure is also important to relax mind and revive the energy.
