In this essay you will be addressing one of the basic tenets of Biology. Why was the idea that species can change over time so revolutionary with Darwin's "The Origin of Species"?

Solutions

Expert Solution

The Darwin’s theory is based on natural selection. The main principal tells about what will happen to a species in the future. His discovery reveals that changes amongst organisms do not come directly. It comes gradually through the acceptance of the nature. If nature denies, no species can survive. Amongst organisms, there is a fight that establishes the survival of few or some organisms. Other who do not fight or win, struggles or die. The research of Darwin on finches tells the longest story of organism development in short way. If a species do not change over time, we cannot see changes amongst species. Many examples after the discovery by Darwin have been established and these suggest that changes occur through the environment and even in such intensity that can develop two organisms into two species under specific environment. For example, the modern agriculture researches that makes new types of seeds almost every day; even develop into new species.
