Describe the benefits of informal groups, how they are formed, and ways groups create their own identity.
The informal groups, as the name suggests, are the group of some students in a school or group of some employees in an organization. Informal groups just evolves voluntarily and is not created with a specific purpose to serve. formal groups are formed by management with a specific purpose in mind. The communication style amongst members of the informal group is also not systematically structured and depends solely on the relationship between two members of the group. They do not work under any direction or initiative from the school or the office. Behaviour of members amongst the group is according to individual and group interest. There is no authority structured which is drilled top down and instead people in the group create their own authority structure.
Based on characteristics there are four informal groups:
Apathetic groups
Erratic groups
Strategic groups
Conservative groups
