ANS Plants are the autotrophs means they are preparing their own food by the process of photosynthesis . Requirements for preforming photosynthesis are chlorophyll pigment present in chloroplast of green leaves ,carbon dioxide,water and sunlight. This process results in the formation of carbohydrate and production of oxygen which is the basic need to survive on earth for us and other living beings.Hence, we can say that plants are not only making their own food but also for others.

Reproduction is the process of giving birth to the offsprings similar to themselves . In case of plants reproduction can happen by two ways -

asexual -when plants give rise to new plants without seeds examples-vegetative propagation ,budding,fragmentation,spore formation .In these processes of reproduction fusion of male and female gamete is not taking place.

sexual -when plants give rise to new plants with seeds,fusion of male and female gamete take place.Flowers are produced which are having female and male reproductive parts (bisexual )and when only one type of reproductive part is present then called unisexual.Male reproductive part is stamen and female reproductive part is pistil .male gamete is pollen produced by anther while female gamete or egg is present in ovule .After fusion of male and female gamete zygote is formed .In this way whole process of reproduction takes place.
