I think that employees that have a uniform look do give the company a more professional appearance. To me tattoos, piercings, and wild Hai colors do not seem very professional, however as these styles have become wildly popular over the last several years, therefore I think society has become more accepting of them. I agree that in a hospital setting each specific job title having a specific color they wear helps the patients know who they are dealing with. If I were to put myself in the patient's place I feel that the most important aspect of my nurse's appearance is his or her hygiene. A clean and tidy appearance let me know your take care of yourself and will hopefully show me the same care. If you look clean and your scrubs are well kept, fit you nicely, and are clean as well then I have no problem with your hair being blue. If a new girl came to work wearing a thong and a lip ring I would not try to judge her but in the back of my mind I would have the thought that her appearance is a reflection on us all as a company and would hope she would dress in a more appropriate manner. I always want to portray a professional image not just for myself but for the company that employs me.
Do you agree or disagree with the article above? Why or why not?

Whatever role you play in an organization, your appearance is critical in the way you represent the professionalism of your career. Conveying the professionalism in the workplace encompasses the way we communicate, how we express courtesy and body language, and what we wear. Your demeanor and dress should reflect the professionalism it takes to do your job and be neat, clean, and appropriate foe the workplace.

People will always judge you by your appearance. When it comes to nursing, a nurse's appearance can either instill confidence in the patient or total mistrust. Imagine a nurse who walks in with ungroomed or unwashed hair, wrinkly and shabby scrubs ad junk jewelry? such a nurse would lose respect in the patient's eyes. If you look sloppy, the other staff, patients and their families wil see you lazy, unorganized and worse of all, uncaring.

The nursing's student professional appearance and attire influences patient care as well as public's image of nursing.Whether the nursing student is providing care for the acutely ill patient in a setting or teaching a family in the home, she or he is being scrutinzed by others who are forming mental images about nurses and nursing. The public's perception of nurses and nursing may influence the effectiveness of nursing practice and shoul be considered as the nurse provides care.

Many nursing schools framed guidelines for a professional appearance and attire for nursing students. Professional appearance of nurse helps in preventing infection, promoting patient safety.

Maytag may probably not enter the market and invest 12 M in the advertisement to gain a profit of 1M and a relatively small market share. Even if Maytag enters the market, they would only have a small share of it, which means that GE...
