Choose one interesting and one important item for each nutrient to discuss
A balanced diet is necessary for having a healthy body, it must provide adequate calories (not too excess or not too low), minerals, vitamins, protein, fatty acids, and carbohydrates. All these components are necessary for the normal cellular growth and metabolic activities, deficiency of any macronutrient causes disease or disorder. For example, some of the amino are acids cannot be synthesized by the body, so we should take them through diet. These are known as “essential amino acids.” The essential amino acids include, arginine, histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan and valine.
The following ways enable a person to have the balanced diet:
For example, the cereals and whole grains provide the carbohydrates, certain vitamins, and minerals. Nuts, red meat, and seafood provide adequate amounts of fatty acids and vitamins. Fruits and vegetables provide most of the vitamins and minerals required for a healthy body.
