CORTICOSTEROIDS

These are the anti-inflammatory glucocorticoids utilized initially for the clients who are suffering from astma and this can be also used in the choronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The Corticosteroids stop lots of cells included in the inflammatory reaction and assist to enhance the thickness of the airways by decreasing the inflammation.

By breating these drugs, the patients decrease lots of systemic unfavourable consequences.Thse consequences involve the suppression of hypothalamus, growth restriction, enhanced WBC count, hypertension etc..

Some of the unfavourable consequences are related with the respired steroids. These involves the hoarseness and alterations in the vocal sound. But these difficulties are able to reduce by the utilization of spacer and by brushing teeth and by the use of mouth wash to lower the remaining medicine in oropharynx after the utilization of brethed medicine.

The newly formed inhaled steroids gives the long term drug scope and the patients are not needed to take lots of puffs on a single day from the inhaler.Examples: budesonide,Mometasone.

The Mometasone is well approved and are very successful in the clients and it is only required to take one puff per day.

At the time of consumption of corticosteroids there will be increased hunger. And in case if you don't want to increase the body mass, then you have to manage the amount of calories and and fat that you consume.Try to consume the food only 3 times a day and if the hunger still persist, then have some vegetables and fruits.Large consumption of salt can leads to enhanced water retention and enhanced dropping of calcium in urine.

THANKS!!!
