Affordable Care Act (ACA) has three primary purposes

  • The primary goal of ACA is to increase in number of Americans covered in the health insurance policy.
  • The second purpose of ACA was to lower the healthcare cost
  • Third was to improve the quality of healthcare services.

In my point of view ACA will achieve its goal.

  • The middle and lower class which do not have the insurance by the employer may get enrolled in subsidized insurance plans. Federal government provides Medicare and state government provides Medicare plans.
  • Employers have obligation to provide the insurance plan if they have more than 50 employees in their organization
  • Uninsured Americans are reduced to 27 million from 41 million.
  • The proportion of citizen of the country without a personal doctor reduced by 3.5%
  • Only 8.8% American are uninsured by a medical premium.
  • 17.6 million People have got the medical coverage. 9 out of 10 Americans have health insurance.

These data shows that it is working properly.
