1) The World Health Organization (WHO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations responsible for international public health. It is part of the U.N Sustainable Developnent Group. The WHO Constitution, which establishes the agency's governing structure and principles, states its main objective as ensuring "the attainment by all peoples of the highest possible level of health. Headquarters of WHO is situated in Geneva,Switzerland. Major missions of WHO includes advocating for universal healthcare, monitoring public health risks, coordinating responses to health emergencies. Major achivements of WHO includes eradication of smallpox, the near eradication of polio, and the development of an Ebola vaccine.
2) it was on December 2019 China reported a cluster of cases of pneumonia in wuhan. A noval Corona virus was identified for the first time by WHO. Then WHO had set an incident management support team across three levels of the organisation. it was on 12th January 2020 China publicly said the genetic sequences of covid-19. Officials from WHO has confirmed covid-19 in Thailand, the first recorded case outside China. In 22 January 2022 has confirmed the human to human transmission of covid-19. It was on 11 March 2020 the wh has confirmed the comet 19 as the pandemic as it is spreading very fastly. On 13 March 2020 WHO has introduced COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund has launched to receive donations from private individuals, corporations, and institutions.
