The main technical issues facing global systems are software, hardware and connectivity or networking. Organizations which have global business model faces challenges with respect to finding a way to standardize global computing platform and also to find software applications that can enhance productivity of international teams and are user friendly. Another challenge the global systems face is flow of data seamlessly which can get hampered due to different national standards of different countries. System integration and connectivity overcomes these challenges.

Let’s focus on the main technical issues:

1. Finding the right software in such a way that it can be adapted by the local team easily. They should be able to use it without any hassle. Requirements for a good software are user friendly interface, color scheme and easy to understand
2. It is important to have a single integrated system such that global firms are able to transmit data, images, phone calls etc. at a given point of time Usually, many global firms prefer Virtual private networks (VPNs).In International networks, security can pose a big risk as they are routed through different locations
3. System integration is important, usage of same OS and hardware throughout the organization, in different parts of the world may not guarantee successful system integration. It is important to source local software to meet needs of new system.

I believe the most important technical issue faced by global systems is System Integration. Connectivity is a technical issue on which companies alone cannot work as it has do a lot with internet and telecommunication infrastructure of a country which can be built by the government of that country. Finding the right software and using it is a challenge which can be easily overcome.

I believe it is systems integration which requires focus from the companies, which would take time and sound understanding of the systems but will reap higher benefits. This will allow companies to develop transnational information system which will incorporate applications developed by different persons globally.
